Julia Workman
Julia has been with Wendy’s since July 2018. She grew up through the Arby’s brand, where she worked for corporate and then was the operator for a local franchisee. She joined Wendy’s as a district manager. While out-performing her peers, she quickly earned the role of the Director of Operations for our Akron Market. She oversees all 22 locations and currently has four district managers reporting to her. Julia never has a bad day. She is infectiously upbeat and creates her following with her optimism. She is very innovative and works hard to achieve the desired results. Developing her team is her primary passion.
Melissa West
Melissa has been with Wendy’s since June of 2000. Before she became a district manager in 2017, she earned the honor of being a Top 200 GM in the entire Wendy’s system! Melissa currently has 6 restaurants, and she produces very consistent results. Her people are extremely loyal to her, and they will do whatever it takes to help her deliver. Melissa knows Wendy’s like the back of her hand and is a great informal leader within the group. Melissa is a fierce competitor and loves to win.
Nikki Weaver
Nikki has been with Wendy’s since March 2017. She was a general manager for two years before becoming a district manager. Nikki currently has 6 restaurants that she is responsible for. Nikki does not get intimidated by any challenge that is put in front of her. She can always be counted on to deliver what is needed. Nikki will never settle. And her teams fight alongside her every day to achieve greatness.
Angela Urchak
Angela has been with Wendy’s since May 2009. She has just recently been promoted to district manager in 2022 and is off to a wonderful start. As a general manager, Angela would take on the responsibility of training many of our new hires. She also led the charge with our most recent “gutted remodel.” She grew the restaurant sales of this Kent State Campus location to double-digit comps. She has just recently been promoted to district manager in 2022 and is off to a wonderful start. Her 5 general managers and their teams look up to the fun and positive environment that Angela creates every day.
Mary Kay Darling
Mary Kay Darling has been a part of Wendy’s family since 1995. She has grown from shift manager to General Manager and a Certified Training Store Manager. Mary Kay has performed at an elite level in operations, food safety, guest satisfaction, and cleanliness. In 2018, Mary Kay was awarded Top 200 GM. Since being newly promoted to the district manager level, Mary Kay strives for proper standards in operations. Coming directly out of the restaurants, she leads with experience that has made her successful and pours that down to her 5 restaurant teams.
